Praise God-Angel Tag Art-M&M Story

A little paper art for today, thinking of the season.

An M&M Christmas Story
As you hold these candies in your hand and turn them, you will see... The M becomes a W, and E, and then a 3.  They tell the Christmas story.  It's one I'm sure you know.  It took place in a stable a long , long time ago.  The E is for the East, where the star shone so bright.  The M is for the manager, where baby Jesus slept that night.  The 3 is for the wise men, who came bearing gifts.  W is for Worship.  Hallelujah, praise His name!  So as you eat these candies or share them with your friends, remember the meaning of Christmas.  It's a love sory that never ends.

"Suddenly an angel appeared among them, and the landscape shone bright with the glory of the Lord.  They were badly frightened, but the angel reassured them.  Don't be afraid!  he said.   I bring you the most joyful news ever announced, and it is for everyone!  The Savior--yes, the Messiah, the Lord--has been born tonight in Bethelem!  How will you recognize him?  You will find a baby wrapped in a blanket, lying in a manger!  Suddenly, the angel was joned by a vast host of others--the armies of heaven--praising God:  Glory to God in the highest heaven, they sang, and peace on earth for all those pleasing him"  LUKE 2: 9-14
Peace, joy and love to you all this week, Michelle

Knitted Finishes

I have three knitted finishes to show you today.  A dishcloth, a decorative scarf and a very warm cowl.

I started with a ball of cotton and just cast on about 30 stitches and made a pattern of garter stitch rows, alternated some knit 2/purl  2 pattern stitches and garter rows at other end...then crocheted a border.  {7 needles/F hook)

This decorative scraf was composed of various fun fibers, all in the green's families.  Used about 12 stitches on size 19 needles.

This cowl was knit on size 50 {yes fifty} needles with two strands of Super Bulky Blue Sky Alpaca/Wool blend.  It ended up to be a pretty tight fit, but will be extremely warm for outdoor wear, of course it knit up in no time at all and I just love the buttons I found at Joann's.  Thank you to my sweet daughter for modeling.

Now I only have 16 more projects on my needles to finish, yikes I just get so inspired.  Have a great day, hugs Michelle

Praise God-Candy Cane Legend and snowman soup

The Candy Cane Legend, I made up about 8  of these little pocket envelopes and embossed the legend and added a couple mini cc's.    Here are two renditions I have found, if you don't have a stamp you can always use computer art to print and glue on card stock.
The Candy Cane Legend
Look at the Candy Cane--what do you see?  Stipes that are red, like the blood shed for me.  White is for my Savior, who's sinless and pure!  "J" is for Jesus, my Lord, that's for sure!  Turn it around and a staff you will see--Jesus, my shepherd, was born for me!--
The Legend of the Candy Cane
A candy maker decided to fashion some candy to honor Jesus.  He made hard candy because Christ is our rock.  White symbolizes Christ's purity.  The red stripes are for His blood, shed on the cross to save us.  The shape is a sheperd's staff, for Jesus is the Good Shepherd.
Also, made ten of these"snowman soup" packets up cc's and a pack of hot cocco mix.
Snowman Soup
So, you've been real good this year, Always glad to hear it, With freezing weather drawing near, You'll need to warm the spirit...So here's a little Snowman Soup complete with stirring stick, Add hot wter, sip it slow, It's sure to do the trick!
These are soooo much fun to make and to give...He Loves, He Gives, we copy the Father...we love, we give all in His name...Blessings, Michelle
"For God so loved the world he gave His only begotten son, whosoever believes in him shall have not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
