Pink Saturday-About Me...my passions
Welcome to pink saturday, please be sure to stop by Beverly's our lovely hostess at "how sweet the sound" (I apologize for some reason I'm having problems copying and pasting the coding today-won't work). Today's post is about me, in a way. I've made these bookplates up and when I got to thinking about it they represent several things that I love and am passionate about. I have a huge rubber stamping collection and am an avid card maker...I've been doing this for years and years, my favorite colors are pink and yellow and I love color and design, I also used yarn on each one of these and am a knitter for even more years, and the photos are from my garden this year, I love flowers, my parents had a greenhouse for 45 years and I was a photographer for many years, then I used a piece of scrap fabric and sewed the photos on, hence my quilting love....so you can gather from all of this that I love to shop, right...but above all of this I hope my love for Jesus shows, each one has a scripture verse stamped on the back for inspiration and encouragement. So I guess these little bookmarks say more about me that one might guess at first glimpse, I love creating weather making cards, knitting a scarf, composing photographs, or making a quilt. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope each one of you has a wonderful day.

Quilts quilted for clients
This diamond quilt was done by a very talented teenager, yet teenager and the piecing was so precise you would believe it, I quilted the ginko leaf panto. The 2 panda pink and blue quilts were done by her mother for a set of twins and I quilted a bamboo panto. Should have cropped these full length photos up, but short on time and wanted to get the post up. Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by.

Convergence Quilt for Cllient
The photos don't do this justice, it was hard to photograph, client was coming to pick up and I was running late. It is a very large king size, I pulled the color of thread out of the mix and her first reaction was no I don't think so, but then when we matched it up to the quilt it was perfect, if you closely at the close up pics you can see I quilted a sun and butterfly design panto (by KD of Sweet Dreams). I've always wanted to do one of these but I guess I'll have to add it to my bucket list.

Today's Post is dedicated to my friend KarenDiane
The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who HOPE in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.
Praise God!

Fall Quilt with KF Fabric
This was a "quilt in a day", I wanted a "fall" quilt and am short on time, so I went with the never fail strip quilt, I had fun selecting the fabrics the prints and colors were just the fall feeling I was going for. I also, tried something different for the backing for me with running another fabric strip down, I like it. The binding pulls it all together. I used an Anne Bright quilting design and Kaffe Fassett fabrics and an orange thread for quilting. Enjoy the season, thanks for stopping by.

St. Francis of Assissi
Lord make me an instrument of your peace. where ther ishatred let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy; Lord, may I not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. Because it is in giving that we receive, in pardoning that we are pardoned. Amen.
