Christmas-stamping, decorating, baking

Merry Christmas, here's what I've been doing that's partly kept me from blogging.  Just a quick post with photos, not much text on my way to Xmas eve chruch service.  Wishing you all a wonderful  Christmas.  (He came to seek and save the lost, amen!)

Merry, Merry Christmas....I'm counting my blessings, the greatest gift of all John 3:16, thank you Father!

by Grace Alone-stamped card

By Grace Alone
Do you wonder if God sees what you're walking through?
He does.  Not casualy, but in detail-with a love that will sustain and strengthen you with every step.

Search the book of the Lord and see all that He will do; not one detail will He miss.
Isaiah 34:16 TLB

God has everything you need today.
God wants to be involved in everything you do today.
God has a purpose for everything you face today.
There is no one else as interested in everything that concerns you, as the God who loves you with all His heart.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  Philippians 4:6 NIV

http://www.dayspring.com/  This is the link for dayspring, this is one place that I get signed up for to get emails sent and the above is taken from one of those, I find them enoucraging.

I stumbled upon this card design and fell in love with it, I've made about 25 of them up to send out, they are so much fun to do.

Have a wonderful Lord's day, blessings, Michelle

National Day of Prayer

Praise God for my freedom to pray!
Decorated envelope front.

Backside of envelop with enclosure of "Jesus painting".

Talk to Him!
Jesus invites you and me, as His children and in His name...

To come into his Father's presence,
To crawl up into His lap by faith,
To put our head on His shoulder of strength,
To feel His loving arms of protection around us,
And to pour out our hearts.

As God's only Son, Jesus took advantage of this same privilege of prayer.  His heart also must have ached to talk to His heavenly Father.  He too needed a loving listener, someone He could trust with His innermost thoughts and feelings.  Someone who would never betray or deny Him-which is one reason He prayed when there was no special reason to pray except that He simply wanted to talk.
So He...

Prayed privately,
Prayed publically,
Prayed alone,
Prayed with friends,
Prayed in crowds,
Prayed standing,
Prayed sitting,
Prayed kneeling,
Prayed on His face...
Prayed early in the morning,
Prayed late in the evening,
Prayed during the day,
Prayed all night.

Jesus prayed!  He loved to talk to His Father.

--Anne Graham Lotz (taken from her book "Expecting to See Jesus" {excellent read})

Praise God, thank you for prayer Father.
Blessings, Michelle

Quilts = Comfort -PART 1

Quilts, when the word pops into my head I think of comfort.  Childhood memories include my mother covering me with a very special grandmother's flower garden quilt when I was sick on the couch.  So also, when I think of my Father in Heaven, Lord Jesus I also think of comfort.
For this is what the LORD syas:  "As a moth comforts her child, so will I cmfort you." -Isaiah 66:12-13

On my bed I rember you, [O God;] I think of you through the watches of the night.  Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.  My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.  -Psalm 63:6-8

Come near to God and he will come near to you. -James 4:8

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.  -Matthew 5:4

The LORD said:  "I will never leave you nor forwake you." -Joshua 1:5

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compasssion and the God of all comfort, who comfots us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. -2 Corinthians 1:3-4

[God] is not far from each one of us.  -Acts 17:27

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. -Psalm 55:22

[The LORD] tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his hear; he gentl leads those that have young. -Isaiah 40:11
Jesus said, "Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy." -John 16:22
Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, O LORD, have helped me and comforted me -Psalm 86:17

I wil priase you, O LORD, Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. -Isaiah 12:1

Praise God, have a blessed Lord's Day, Hugs Michelle

Card Creations

Pink Saturday-I'm linking up with Beverly today, stop over and see all the pretty pinks. http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/

I have this new Die and it cuts out this cool shape, so you'll see several pics with how you can view the card.  I  also used this really adorable embossing folder, so much fun making these up.

My good friend became a grandma for the 5th time and this time it was a girl, so I made her this car up.

Then I had some fund playing with the Dress form Die cut and a butterfly die.

I have one last card to show you today, I've only made one version up, but I can see so many possibilities with various flower stamps.

Have a wonderfuly day and week.  I will be at a quilt show all day on Saturday, so I will have lots of photos to share coming up, one of our guilds is having great show and it is always so breath taking to see so much beauty and creativity.  Hugs, Michelle
