Quilted Quilts for Clients

The baby quilt in pastels had each block with a Peter Rabbit character embroidered, it is magnificent, quilted with white thread some feathers and leafs and a simple frame. The fantastic bright star quilt was quilted in lime green thread with a swirl pattern which really made the stars pop. The brown/green table topper was very elegant looking and quilted up very pretty with a panto in the middle and then a sash and border. The blue/yellow was very cute with the bumble bee panto and the backing had the bees so it really is a cute novelty for a child's quilte. The cat quilt has a solid black background which showed the kitty panto off very well and the white thread blended well into the front panels.

SEVEN Ups Guaranteed to Lift Up Your Day!

1. Wake Up!!
Decide to have a good day. "Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us
rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up!!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive
way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man
looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the
heart." I Samuel 167

3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth,
so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He
who guards his lips guards his soul." Proverbs 13:3. "Gossip betrays
confidence. Avoid men who talk too much."
Proverbs 20:19 "Listen to advice, accept instruction and in the end, you
will be wise." Proverbs 19:20

4. Stand Up!!...
....for what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for
anything. "Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we
will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have
opportunity, let us do good..." Galatians
6:9-10

5. Look Up!!...
....to the Lord. "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up!!...
....for something higher. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and
lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him,
and He will direct your path". Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up!!...
....your Prayers. "Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT
EVERYTHING." Philippians 4:6

A POSITIVE THOUGHT
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring, and a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He could live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.
What about the Christmas gift He sent you in Bethlehem; not to mention
that
Friday at Calvary.
Face it, He's crazy about you!

God answers "Knee Mail."

Happy PS! I've set my table all in a "pink glow". I have collected only 2 of the lady head vases, from antique stores, that I paid more than I wanted to, but I never see anything like them at garage sales. Close up of the hanging petunia baskets. Thank you fo stopping by, have a great weekend.

Outdoor Wednesday

Welcome to Outdoor Wednesday, hosted by Susan of A Southern Daydreamer. Beautiful outdoor photos can be found, when you stop by Susan’s, each Wednesday. Below is my contribution to Outdoor Wednesday this week.http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/

I went a little crazy this year and I bought 9 hanging baskets that I have all around down by the dock, by the pool around the gazebo and out front, so I am watering, watering, and watering, besides the flower beds, but oh they are so worth it. My son in white shirt and his friend are fishing off the paddle boat. I thought I'd take a photo with the "green" 9 patch (cut and rearranged) quilt outside with all the GREEN. Happy Outdoor Wednesday, blogging friends. Thanks for stopping by.

where my Father lives

Happy Father's Day! For quite a few years this day has been very, very sad for me...my earthly father went home to be with our heavenly Father, 7 years ago this August. I miss him immensely. Praise God that this isn't all there is, he promises to reunite us with our loved ones. This is a quilt block from my "bright-house quilt", I added crystals for door knobs , each window has a novelty print in it, and the border is a stack and whack and then prairie points. You can view the whole quilt on my side bar.

I enjoy bringing them in for floral arrangements inside besides enjoying them on the bush. I hope you enjoy my first attempt at using Pat's suggestion for Writer's Window Live....clicking away I think I have a minimal idea of "how to". Happy Pink Saturday to all my blogging friends!

Iris, Bearded & Siberian-Outdoor Wednesday-June 17th

Welcome to Outdoor Wednesday, hosted by Susan of A Southern Daydreamer. Beautiful outdoor photos can be found, when you stop by Susan’s, each Wednesday. Below is my contribution to Outdoor Wednesday this week.

The purple and white bearded iris are from my father and mother's garden and the siberian iris are from my grandmother's garden so they are all very special to me, if I ever move, I'm taking them with me. This is my first mosaic...don't seem to quite have the total hang of it yet, I can't seem to get the photos placed exactly where I want them...but after one and a half hours I did seem to be able to get this far...I didn't see any tutorial or instructions so I did trial and error, which was a tad bit frustrating I do say....is it just me...did I miss something.
