On the Edge Pillowcase crochet along
Look at this, I'm loving these beautiful pillowcases with crocheted edged borders. Cassie from You go girl has made a magnificent tutorial on these, http://www.yougogirl.typepad.com/ stop on over, she has a button and photos and oh, its just wonderfull, she did a great job. Inspiration and assitance Beata from http://rosehip.typepad.com/ , stop on over there too, you will be delighted (photos in these posts from these two sights, until I make some of my own). She also sells these in her etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/people/rosehip/favorites?ref=em , so if you want some instant joy, just stop over and buy some right away. The crohet along is done...but you can still look over the tutorial and crochet on your own, that's what I plan to do. I am just crazy over this, I see borders on quilts, table runners, aprons, etc. I'm so excited, I don't have time right now, but look for my results in the future when things slow down, I plan on making some of these.

What's in a day?-Praise God
What's in a Day?-author unknown
Just for today, I will.....
Like Enoch-walk in daily fellowship with my heavenly Father.
Like Abraham-trust implicitly in my God.
Like Job-turn my back on all seductive advance.
Like Moses-choose to suffer rather than enjoy the pleasures of sin.
Like Caleb and Josua-refuse to be discouraged because of numbers.
Like Gideon-advance, even though my friends are few.
Like David-lift up my eyes to the hills from which comes my help.
Like Jehoshaphat-prepare my heart to seek the Lord.
Like Daniel-commune with God at all times and in all places.
Like Andrew-strive to lead others to Christ.
Like Stephen-manifest a forgiving spirit toward all who seek my hurt.
Like Paul-forget those things that are behind and press forward.

These are some photos I took a couple of years ago and played around in photoshop with them. I'm really wishing for an early spring, I've had enough of winter.

Pastel Floral Parade - Kaffe Fassett Quilt
Pastel Floral Parade in Kaffe's book "Quilting in the Sun" is my quilt in progress as the moment. I'm using my own choices of fabric, in light/bright colorways. I'm excited, I'm making this one for myself. I'm cutting and sewing and cutting and sewing as I go...not picking all fabric, cut all fabric, sew all fabric, it's kinda fun to see how it turns out. I'm also cutting for 3 more quilts at the same time to list kits in my Etsy shop. Haven't decided on backing/or quilting designs yet. Here's a few pictures of where I'm at so far. I love Flowers and color, so this is going to be one of my favorite I think. It's not ironed, thread aren't cut, so don't judge my work too hard.

Doll Quilt 8 Arrives
Sweet! Isn't this adorable, so romantic, I love the colors, they are perfectly me. Cute little half square triangles and rectangles, perfectly pieced and quilted with a meander that suits the pattern just right and who doesn't love polka dot bindings. And did you see the back, well I guess I only showed a peek of it with the label but it is the most beautiful pretty pink roses, which are my favorite flower btw. Oh and look at the lovely little items that came with my package some vintage cards, pencils wrapped with ribbon and an adorable little tissue holder and isn't the wrapping just everything, look at the tulle wrapped around the cards.
Thank you so very much Ansje, I will treasure this, you really must have thought about just want I like, the fabrics are perfect (wish a had that group) and the colors are truly me. Your care in packaging was done very nicely, you can tell you put some time into thinking about that and it shows. Thank you.

Praise God
Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his, we are his people, the sheet of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever, his faithfulness continues through all generations.

May the Lord bless you,

Time for Tea
Tea Party for Two, my daughter Nicole and I had a lovely tea time. Whole leaf green tea was steeped to perfection with a hint of floral flavor. I found a wonderful recipe for strawberry scones at this site http://confessionsoftart.blogspot.com/2009/03/strawberry-scones.html. and I made some "mock devonshire cream" which turned out fabulous. I added some white chocolate chips to the scones, they were delicious, Nicole picked up some organic strawberry jam to go with and the combination of the three was delightful. Floral plates I made and the absolutely beautiful crocheted tabled cloth was my mother's.

What's on your Needles?
Needles, yes they do make a difference... I can definitely knit better with nicer needles. I had a pair of green metal, very long needles I started knitting these cute little booties on, had enough of that after a few rows and went out and bought these "sweet" wooden needles, love them. I knit these little booties up in a weekend, felt so good to have a project finished, usually most of my items take a while, so a quick finish it was and just in time for a baby shower last weekend (quilt went to the shower too, I'll show that in another post). These were 3 months size and the first time I ever knit booties on straight needles, usually I do bably socks on double points. Found this little pattern on a daily knitting calender I got for Christmas, and has 3 different sizes to knit. How do you knit your baby socks/booties, straight or double point?
