Debbie Macomber-hits another great one

"Knit Together"...I loved, loved this book. I'm planning on re-reading it...I read it the minute the hardcover hit the store...now after some time has elapsed I think I want to read it again...I don't say that about too many books. This is a keeper in my library and one I loan out and recommend highly.

Grocery Store

I don't know about anybody else...but boy do I feel like I live at the grocery store...seems like I'm there almost everyday...spending a fortune too.....gas prices came down recently....but nothing else did.....

As I was walking down life's highway
many years ago
came upon a sign that read
Heavens Grocery Store.
When I got a little closer
the doors swung open wide
And when I came to myself
I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels.
They were standing everywhere
One handed me a basket
and said "My child shop with care."
Everything a human needed
was in that grocery store
And what you could not carry
you could come back for more
First I got some Patience.
Love was in that same row.
Further down was Understanding,
you need that everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of Wisdom
and Faith a bag or two.
And Charity of course
I would need some of that too.
I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost
It was all over the place.
And then some Strength
and Courage to help me run this race.
My basket was getting full
but I remembered I needed Grace.
And then I chose Salvation for
Salvation was for free
I tried to get enough of that to do
for you and me.
Then I started to the counter
to pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything
to do the Masters will.
As I went up the aisle
I saw Prayer and put that in,
For I knew when I stepped outside
I would run into sin.
Peace and Joy were plentiful,
the last things on the shelf.
Song and Praise were hanging near
so I just helped myself.
Then I said to the angel
"Now how much do I owe?"
He smiled and said
"Just take them everywhere you go."
Again I asked "Really now,
How much do I owe?"
"My child" he said, "God paid your bill
a long long time ago.

7 Things Know that are always true about God

I know God is a good God.
Good and upright is the LORD. (Ps. 25:8)
I know God is on my side.
The LORD Is on my side. (Ps. 118:6)
God is for me. (Ps. 56:9)
I know God’s laws and ways are for my benefit.
The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether…/And in keeping them there is great reward. (Ps. 19:9, 11)
I know God is always with me.
I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Heb. 13:5)
I know God wants me restored.
For you have delivered my soul from death. (Ps. 116:8)
I know God’s promises to me will never fail.
Your faithfulness endures to all generations. (Ps. 119:90)
I know God is always the winner.
He shall prevail against His enemies. (Isa. 42:13)

Not sure of the origination of this text, probably someone sent to me in an email going around. Photograph is mine, looking out my backyard at God's handiwork.

Change Dresses as often as I Want

This wardrobe change costs less than pennies, ha ha. I love the B-line designs stamps that Beverly creates. This one has endless possibilities with color combos every time you stamp a different paper or use a different technique to change the outfits.

Blossom Street Series Books

I've read 3 of the Blossom Street series books by Debbie Macomber, my mother read two of them {and was waiting to have read the 3rd if it had been written before she went HOME} and my daughter read one of them, so we have a 3 generation age range who enjoyed these from teenager to 40 somthing to 70 something. If you love to knit or even if you don't, you will really like Debbie's writing style.

Kalieodscope Xmas Catus

This is just too, too much fun to play around with. The software Kaleiodoscope Kreator {2.0 is the version I have, but they may have come out with an update} is amazing...the possibilities are endless. So far, I've only played with manipulating photos on the computer, but hope to print on fabric and quilt maybe a little wall hanging. Very easy to use.

Stack and Whack Fan Quilt

This was a fun quilt, I took a class on this technique (layering 8 layers of fabric and pinpoint the repeat). I really enjoyed the custom quilting I did in yellow for contrast and the backing is flannel for a really cozy feel. I love the small print of florals, each fan is unique (normally you use large prints for this technique).

Happy New Year 's Day 2009!

I looked out my bedroom window to see this winter wonderland of a sunny, sparkling, glistening white snow and tree shadow display. It was truly a beautiful sight. My wish for you, is a year of health, happiness, prosperity, and special blessings from our Lord, King of Kings.
