I'm featuring an Art Journal Quilt for National Quilting Day and also for Pink Saturday featuring some finished handmade cards.
Each week I'm trying out new techniques/color/composition/tools etc for a small 8"x10" art journal quilt. Today I actually sewed a photograph right no the fabric and then trying out different sized circles for the quilting, it was fun. The cards feature some hot pink original designs made by me and the other subdued flower cards are from the stampin up club nite I attend.

I don't think I have ever seen a photo sewn right into anything before. I think that is just so pretty and of course I happen to be a lover of stargazer lilies.
