Thomas Kinkaid-Stamped Cards

I think God is probably the only one I know who can paint with light better than Thomas Kinkaid...looking at his paintings have such a feeling to them with the light usually streaming down from the heavens, giving such a warmth to them..they glow. I just had to have these two stamps when I saw them. Genesis 1:3 Then God said, "Let there be light." And light appeared.

One Big Block-Log Cabin

This pattern is so much fun to make, you use large pieces of fabric, so it goes together fairly quickly and its kinda nice sometimes to see bigger pieces of fabric not cut all of...you can appreciate the design elements. I used Tina Givens Annabella line for this twin size quilt, I working on making a bedding ensemble, matching pillow cases and sham and 2 other pillows and will list this up on my etsy site...can't you just see this in a girls room...so bright and cherry. I quilted a swirls designs, which turned out very nicely on this quilt. It could even be reversible with the pink daisy side.

Photoshop Fun

Photoshop is great for those times when you have a so-so photo. You can manipulate it and create something a little more interesting. Study in primrose, originial photo, then altered with cropping and artistic filters, better. Reflection for the day: Hebrews 11:1-2 What is FAITH? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead. Men of God in days of old were famous for their faith.

Bethlehem Star Quilt

Genesis 1:16 For God made two huge lights, the sun and moon, to shine down upon the arlth-the larger one, the sun, to preside over the day and the small one, the moon to preside through the night; he also made the stars.

Bethlehem Star Quilt

This is an antique quilt TOP that I purchased off of ebay, it was all hand pieced in very good shape, a few small stains and one area with some small tearing of threads. I can't even imagine the amount of hours that someone spent cutting by tracing tempates, I'm sure, each little diamond shape and sewing them all together. It is very well made, lays very flat. I'm going to add more photos in another post because I'm really loving this quilt. I quilted it with off white thread and put on a new backing in peach color and a new cotton batting. I used a feather design in the quilting that gives it a vintage feel. Its fairly heavily quilted except for the borders are a little lighter. This one is staying in my personal collection.

Texas Star

I purchased this handpieced "Texas Star" quilt top on e-bay, and then I added a cotton batting and a new backing and quilted it in feathers. It is so much fun to take a quilt off the machine after it's been quilted and see the transformation from a pieced top to a QUILT, it amazes me every time. This is so much fun to look at with all the different pieces of scrappy material that the maker used. I feel like a rescuer when I pick these tops up, so sad the maker never saw it finished and quilted. Personally, I would never have time to make the tops I purchase, they all have so many little pieces of material sewn together, I love the old time block designs.

Knit hats

I made three of these up, they are with chunky wool and knit up on circulars extremely fast. They are very warm and comfy, unisex.

The Meaning of the Snowman

The white snow stands for the purity of souls filled with God's grace. The circular snowballs represent, God's everlasting love.
The pieces of coal used to make the eyes, mouth and buttons symbolize God's Almighty power.
The carrot nose reminds us that god gives us everything we need to live and grow.
The scarf suggests the warmth of God's tender care. The top hat reminds us always to keep faith our top priority. The arms are outstretched to us, as God's always are. The broom made of straw and wood signifies that Jesus was born and died to cleanse us of sin. May your heart be ever warmed by the good news of God's great love for you!
