Crochet Trim Pillow Cases

One finished, finally. I have trim for three more{one lime and two dark rose} just have to sew up the pillow cases. I am using some Kaffe Fassett Fun Fabrics and this crochet cotton is in a lime green, using a size H hook. I have purchased three fantastic reference books now that I am very happy with.
The one pictured I used for this trim #20, I would feel comfortable recommending this book, there are over 300 trims with a variety from simple to more advanced. I'll show the other books when I do something out of them. So far I did two trims the same design with lime and two trims the same with rose, hope to get them done and show this weekend.  I used a hoffman pattern I got off their web site a long time ago and instead of the accent piece is calls for I used the crochet trim and just stitched it on with the sewing machine, easy peasy.  Very fun!

Doll Quilt -Feeling Blue

"Blue" that's how I was feeling on Saturday night, and this is what I came up with, just started sewing with some scrap triangles left over from a churn dash quilt in progress and did not stop until I was done. I'm disappointed with my borders, but it is a true doll quilt in the fact that one of the purposes used to be to teach young children sewing skills, so that is what I love about doll quilts it gives you a chance to experiment with new techniques you want to try....so quilting borders needs some work. I also like to try out new quilt patterns on something small before I use them a on larger piece. I do like this set up block and borders.
