January and we have had a nice little snow storm with some lake effect. So, I am refusing to look at it, instead I'm browsing spring flower catalogs, and have just ordered myself a little pre-birthday gift, flower seeds. To be exact, I have on the way sunflowers, snapdragaons, zinnias, morning glorys and sweetpeas. I am ordering for the first time from http://www.rareseeds.com/ . I'm dreaming of blooming blooms upon blooms of color. What do you do this time of year to get rid of any wintery blues? Look at lots of pretty "Pinks", I presume. Happy Pink Saturday, Hugs, Michelle

Michelle, your snowflake quilt is gorgeous. Will check out this catalog, not familiar with it. I've been browsing also ... but no snow here since Halloween.
Have a beautiful weekend ~

We now have snow...only a few more months until spring. I would like to check out the site you purchased seeds. Thanks for the idea.

Well here in New Zealand it is meant to be summer... It hasnt arrived yet. We have had rain and wind on and off for quite sometime and summer just hasnt turned up... So here I am blog jumping waiting for the weather to improve... Thinking of rose blooms is a great idea when you are cold and suffering from winter blues... hugs Lisa
HPS Michelle!
You said Lake Effect snow so you must be like me and live near the Great Lakes. We just got our first measurable snow...about 4" and so our green went to white.
To banish the winter blahs, I love to rearrange things, organize and clean out all my fabrics, etc. and sew, sew, and more sewing. Paint a few roses, too, and dream of the spring flowers that will be next!

Oh, I'm in a very sunny and dry CA! However, I am from just down 90 from you, and I went to college just south of there in NY. AND, we lived in Stowe, VT for the previous four years to our move. I just settled in and thanked God I worked from home!
