Quilted Christmas Gift

Shhhh....keep a secret....this is a sneak peak at a Christmas Quilt I'm making for a very special friend, it's going to be a wholecloth lap size quilt.  I've never stitched this pattern out before and it is turning out very nice, but wow, talk about thread and more thread, whew, taking lots of thread...about 1 and a hlaf blocks and I'm changing the bobbin.  The down side of this pattern as a long armer is the cutting of all the threads...but I think I'm starting to love the pattern the blocks are making together row after row and I think once it is watched and dried, it is going to look so very shabby chic and vintage.  What's everyone else working on for homemade gifts?  What do you think, I'm thinking an angels theme for this for items to go in the box with it.

Absolutely, unbelievably, beautiful, and amazing! What talent you have! It is delightful to visit your site and get to 'know' you a little better with each and every visit. Now, if some of that talent could just rub off on us all through the computer waves ;)
