I think I have another new little obsession, doll quilts this is the 2nd one I've made and they are just soo much fun....quick finish, great for using scraps and trying new techniques. I experimented with some texture fill quilting with a variegated thread.

That's a great way to create. I really like the stitching you were playing with here (along with the Variegated thread). It also feels like the creation of the doll quilt allowed you freedom with the quilting (and JOY) that you might not have experienced with a plain piece of muslin.
