Excitement....Last Saturday I had the privilege of taking a Kim Diehl Class (http://www.kimdiehl.com/) on her "Molly" Quilt...isn't it fabulous. My sister-in-law went with me and we drove 1-1/2 hrs. away to the second picture down, cute little shop called "Ivy Thimble" (http://www.ivythimble.com/). Next photo, Kim (on left) and myself in front of her georgous quilt, learned a great deal and hope I can retain it all and perfect it. Next photo, yes, I couldn't resist, I purchased all four of her books and she has a 5th one coming out next year, can't wait, beautiful quilts and photography and tips in all four of them. Now don't laugh, but the last photo is how far I am on the quilt, I'm using some fabric I have on hand so the colors won't be the same, but hopefully learning her technique and using her quilt design will still make it a nice quilt. The day flew by, but we had a very nice time and I can't wait to get time to work on this, I generally only do very fast piecing because of the time issues.
