Accuquilt-Diamonds-Pink Saturday-Homebread

Pink Saturday-stop on over to Beverly our lovely hostess and check out all of the links. http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/

Diamonds, Diamonds and more diamonds...This is my wip, I have been inspired again by the great Kaffe Fassett Fabric and Quilt designer.  In his book "Simple Shapes Spectacular Quilts",  the quilt "Bordered Diamonds" caught my attention.  I'm using the accuquilt die, diamond, to do my cutting for me...layered up fabric, as you can see below, gives me lots of diamonds in no time at all.

These are my piles of diamonds all cut and ready for putting border strips on them.  I have several layers in each pile.
Strips cuts, ready to be added, and this lovely fabric will be my binding...I think it will work out great, love the design.
This is what the die looks like, on the underside, don't you just love those little pink polka dots.

Here are three with borders added, as you can see I'm going to use brights....

Home made bread last night, added dried blueberries and cranberries....from the book "Dough:   Simple Contemporary Bread" by Richard Bertinet.  Awesome book, great photos, great recipes and a DVD to show you how.  Notice my salvage potholders have "pink" in them.
Daisy got a new leash...and yes it's PINK.
Have a gret weekend!  Hugs, Michelle

Happy Pink Saturday!
Thanks for stopping by my blog - love Daisy's new leash. Wow- diamond pattern with borders. that is looking like some serious piecing work but I am soooo interested in the final quilt. My Mom went through a 10 year quilting phase - I loved it. I am a fabric hound but I never quite get as far as actual creation :)
